The integration in use

Pallantide uses ChatGPT Sites-managed Sign in with ChatGPT. A top-level navigation goes to the hosting platform's sign-in route and OpenAI's OAuth authorization service. The hosting platform owns the callback, login state and session. Pallantide's Worker reads the platform-supplied user ID, email and optional name; it does not implement a separate password or OAuth token store.

A secure, HttpOnly, SameSite=Lax login-state cookie was observed before authorization. OAuth state verification, PKCE enforcement, session expiry and authenticated cookie handling are hosting responsibilities and are not fully inspectable in this repository. They are not claimed as independently audited.

What is shared

The app uses a Site-specific identity and email to associate your Community account, with an optional name for a display name. Public writer names, biographies and published work are visible to readers. The app does not request ChatGPT conversations, memories, passwords or an API key. Review the provider's sign-in screen before continuing.

Signing out and deleting

Signing out ends the hosted Community session but does not clear the local draft databases. Local profiles on the same browser share its hosted sign-in session; they do not provide separate Community login sessions. Delete Community account in Account settings removes the Community record and owned publications while keeping local drafts. A later sign-in can create a new profile. It does not delete your ChatGPT account.

An independent platform

Pallantide is independently developed and operated. It is not an OpenAI product and does not claim OpenAI endorsement or affiliation. ChatGPT sign-in is a hosted authentication service, not a partnership claim.
